Fluent English 8+ Prep ("the App", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is dedicated to protecting user data. This policy outlines how information is gathered, utilized, and safeguarded to ensure full compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and data protection standards.
Purpose: The app requests microphone access exclusively to enable the interactive IELTS Speaking Practice tool, allowing students to record their voice responses and listen back for pronunciation review.
Local On-Device Processing: All audio recordings are processed strictly on the user's device and saved to temporary local storage.
No Remote Storage or Sharing: Voice audio is never uploaded to remote servers, sold, or shared with third parties.
3. Account & Personal Data
Authentication: Users registering via Email or Google Sign-In have their credentials handled securely through Google Firebase Authentication.
User Profile: Display name, avatar selection, and optional contact details are securely stored in Google Firebase Firestore.
4. Learning Progress & Bookmarks
Saved words, phrasal verbs, idioms, collocations, and quiz performance metrics are synchronized via Google Firebase Firestore and Realtime Database to provide a consistent study experience across your devices.
5. Advertisements & Free Tier Rules
Free Tier: Free accounts are allocated 5 vocabulary lookups per rolling 24-hour day and may receive advertisements powered by Google AdMob after a standard session duration.
Ad Identifiers: Google AdMob may process standard mobile advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID) in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Personalized ads can be disabled anytime in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
Fluency Pro: Paid subscribers enjoy an entirely ad-free environment with unlimited lookups.
6. In-App Subscriptions & Billing
All subscription purchases for Fluency Pro are processed securely by Google Play In-App Billing. We never collect, process, or store financial payment details or credit card information.
7. Account & Data Deletion Rights
Users maintain full authority to delete their account and associated data permanently:
In-App Deletion: Navigate to the Profile screen → tap Delete My Account → confirm deletion. This instantly and permanently deletes your user record, bookmarks, quiz history, and authentication data.
This application is directed towards general students aged 13 and above preparing for English language assessments. We implement modern TLS/SSL encryption and security standards across all Firebase endpoints.
